2nd MDI User Symposium: Mini implants have arrived in science and practiceMini Dental Implants (MDI) have proven to be a successful treatment option for the stabilisation of upper and lower dentures. This concept now has a broad base of user experience and scientific investigations – as impressively demonstrated by the 2nd MDI User Symposium held by 3M ESPE in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. 150 representatives from practice and science took part and the lively exchange between them has given the MDI concept new impetus. In particular, the universities of Bern (Switzerland) and Greifswald (Germany) presented new, highly promising research results on mini implants. Furthermore, the participants could benefit from good advice from a wealth of experience or clever tips for the practice.
